Crafted from 10.5mm+ upcycled climbing rope, this one-of-a-kind prototype was built with strength and substance in mind. Featuring thicker rope and larger, heavy-duty hardware, it’s especially well-suited for larger, stronger dogs who benefit from more robust gear.
Finished with our sculpted, hand-tied artisan knots and a traditional oversized dog clip, this lead balances durability with the handcrafted character you expect from Dramatic Pawz Creations.
Measuring just over 6 feet in total length (approximately 75" from the top of the handle to the top of the clasp), it provides generous range while maintaining confident control.
This is a standalone prototype — created as a test piece and not part of our regular collection.
Upcycled Climbing Rope
We proudly take used climbing rope and rescue it from landfills where it typically takes 30 - 40 years to decompose. We turn it into beautiful and long lasting dog products. Easy to clean, looks great and environmentally friendly. Each piece has a unique history and has been retired from climbing for safety reasons, but is perfectly strong and safe for keeping hard pulling dogs under control. These products may have some wear and minor imperfections but have carefully inspected by us to make sure the imperfections are few. The wear tends to make the ropes softer and more comfortable.
